Carina (that model people have been requesting)

Something other than a hair! I'm diversifying!


This is Carina. She's from an old legacy family, but I chose her brother as the heir, so I don't really remember much about her. Her great grandmother was Celeste GilsCarbo from Barnacle Bay, so everyone in the family got dressed in plaid and cowboy-ish things. But she's packaged with a base game t-shirt and jeans to save your eyes.

Cazy's Carpe Diem Edited and Retextured

I feel kind of weird posting this hair, because I didn't really do anything to it. But I'm going to upload a sim that's wearing it, so I'm sharing it anyway. I retextured it, and deleted a few strands of hair that were sticking out and annoying me, and that's it. Cazy did an awesome job with everything else. This retexture won't overwrite any other versions.

Peggy's June 2012 Special Gift Fixed and Retextured

Peggy drives me crazy. Her meshes are so cute, but they always have so many problems. I did all my usual stuff to this mesh - reduced the poly count by about 1700, added the missing LODs, gave it new bone assignments, adjusted it to sit on the head a little better, and fixed all the transparency issues that I could. I made the back of the hair smaller, and got rid of the tacky little beads on the hair clips, too. I wasn't able to fix all the problems, but I think it's an improvement. This version will not conflict with the original, or with any other retextures.

Newsea's Miles Away Edited and Retextured

Back at the beginning of the year, I was planning on updating this blog at least once a month. And then the past few months of school just killed me. Hydrogeology ruins everything. Anyway, I didn't do a whole lot with this mesh. I retextured it with an edited version of newsea's textures (I'm really happy with the way these ones turned out!). I resized the mesh so that it's not as wide, sits a little lower on the head, and has some more volume on top. And I moved or deleted a couple strands of hair that looked out of place and were annoying me. Poly count for the lower lods has been reduced, but I couldn't really edit the higher ones without making the curls look blocky and horrible, so this hair probably won't play well with slower computers.

Anto 33 Converted

I converted a hair! It's been what, like 13 months since I've done one of these? In the meantime, I got TSR Workshop to stop mangling the UV maps of everything I run through it, so this one has morph states. And now that I've finally got that figured out, hopefully I'll be able to start posting conversions and requests more often than once a year.

I didn't find any problems when I was testing these, but this is the first time I've used TSR Workshop to make anything and I'm a little worried. So please let me know if any of the files aren't working like they should be.

Newsea's Summer Flavour edited and retextured

I love this hair. I think it may be my favorite Newsea mesh ever. I edited the mesh to make it a little smaller and reduced the polycount for the lower LODs, but most of the work I did was with the bone assignments. It doesn't look like your sim glued her bangs to her shoulders anymore! The texture is almost entirely Newsea’s, with the dark roots removed and some parts from Pooklet’s texture blended in where I wanted a bit more detail.

My version won't overwrite anything, so you can have mine and Newsea’s version in your game at the same time. Anonymous commenting is enabled; if you have any problems, please let me know and I’ll fix them as soon as possible.

Newsea's Kiss Jasmine edited and retextured

I thought this hair was really cute, but it looked way too big on all of my sims. So I edited the mesh to make it a bit smaller. I also lowered the polycount for LOD2 and LOD3, and added cheekbone assignments to the hair around the face, which should help prevent clipping issues. Texture is mostly Newsea's, I just tweaked it to get rid of the dark roots. I didn't make any changes to the accessory flowers except for resizing them to fit my smaller mesh. Oh, and I forgot to take pictures, but it has EA highlights.

I didn't make new packages for this hair, I just edited Newsea's. So you cannot have my version and Newsea's version in your game at the same time, the files will conflict with each other.
