Cazy's Carpe Diem Edited and Retextured

I feel kind of weird posting this hair, because I didn't really do anything to it. But I'm going to upload a sim that's wearing it, so I'm sharing it anyway. I retextured it, and deleted a few strands of hair that were sticking out and annoying me, and that's it. Cazy did an awesome job with everything else. This retexture won't overwrite any other versions.

Available for teen, young adult, adult, and elder females.

Polycount:
LOD0 - 10050
LOD1 - 4312
LOD2 - 1140
LOD3 - 366

  1. You got rid of those funny little flyaways didn't you? Fantastic work, thank you!

By the way, I can't for the life of me figure out how to subscribe to your blogger. Is it an option, because I haven't been able to find any button for it whatsoever.

    1. Yep! I get what everybody's trying to do with the flyaways, but they usually end up looking kind of weird and unnatural to me.

I never really thought about the subscribing thing before. This blog has a few followers, so somebody figured out how to subscribe, but I have no idea how they did it. I added a followers widget to the sidebar, I think that should work.

    2. Those are some determined followers, I gave up after a while and was content with just stalking your blog every few days.

I took a look at your textures and I noticed that your diffuse is Cazy's lightened, but you also did a bit of tweaking. I don't think I've ever really seen texture work like that before, and its quite beautiful. I have no idea how you did it, but its damn fantastic.

Although you say you didn't really do anything to it, you really did quite a lot. Removing those strands is not just simple alpha work (which is difficult work within itself), but mesh work that must have been pretty dang time consuming. I don't think I could have done it. Additionally, removing those strands removed about 1,000 polygons, which can really be significant for a lot of people with slower rigs.

    1. Go to My Documents\Electronic Arts\The Sims 3\Mods and then put the .package file in the "Packages" folder. If you don't have a Packages folder, follow the instructions here to set one up - http://www.modthesims.info/wiki.php?title=Sims_3:Installing_Package_Files
